Android Mobile WiFi Controller

May 22nd, 2013 by Arend Leave a reply »

This app connects to a Huawei E587 / T-Mobile Sonic 4G, checks whether it is disconnected (from the data service) and reconnects the device if disconnected. Also when the device is “roaming”.

I made this because my T-Mobile branded, unlocked Huawei wifi/mifi cannot be configured to auto reconnect. And as I use a different (virtual) provider than T-mobile  it always assumes it is roaming. It takes many steps to reconnect and this App does this automatically in the background.

Might work on different Huawei models.

    Just create an New APN.

Give it a name. For example Auto.
Leave all the other fields empty!
If your SIM has autoconfig settings, it will now automatically connect using the provided apn settings.

use on Accer A211 with Huavai E5331 wi-fi router. don’t work SMS notification. read only status 3G. if it possible make SMS notification for this devise. also wont interface for changing settings in router, as web interface for android from huawei is not cool.

Arend, I’m very interested in the work you’ve done with this device! I have a similar project which could use some guidance – would you mind having a quick call with me to discuss?
